My Horses
Never Skipadocolena
Skippie is a 2003 Palomino gelding out of Docs Pine Jet and Skips Special Dee. Skippie has been a great challenge to me and for many years has been my goal. I have discovered in my path with him that I have learned an invaluable amount about horsemanship, taking it beyond the tasks and helped me delve into what horsemanship really means. I am forever thankful to me for providing me with all trying moments that have made me the horsewoman I am today. Currenlty Skippie and I are working in Dennis’ course 4 Horseman ground school and round pen class tasks. It is great to have him achieving such great softness and becoming the willing partner I always knew he could be.
Blues Red Baron
The Red Baron is my 2004 strawberry roan gelding. He is sired by Blue Canal Fisher and out of Dry Fork Fritzi. His predigree is somewhat unique, he has both hardy ranch horse blood and some more refined working cow lines. He is a real athletic gelding with a solid workman like attitude. Our time together has shown him to be a willing partner to continue my horsemanship with, I appreciate the time we spend together. He is a teacher by nature, very patient and forgiving. It is inspiring to spend time with an animal like The Red Baron.
I’ll be using The Red Baron to continue in the endorsement process with Dennis Reis. With a mind like his and my persistence we should have a great future. For me excellence in horsemanship is my Ithaca. Every horse I handle, book I read or horseman I watch brings me one step further down the road in my journey. I appreciate The Red Baron for helping me learn, excel and practice with him. It is really fun to feel a connection with a horse and a rare opportunity for most. I am so thankful for him.
